Usherwood is SOC 2 Type II Compliant
At Usherwood Office Technology, protecting client data is more than a promise — it’s a core part of how we operate. That’s why we’re proud that Usherwood is SOC 2 Type II compliant, one of the most rigorous and respected standards in the industry for information security.
Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a SOC 2 information security standard is a report that validates controls relevant to security, availability, integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
For our clients, this means verified, ongoing protection for their data, backed by independent validation. It’s a milestone that reflects Usherwood’s security-first approach — from internal training and system monitoring to proactive incident readiness and regular process improvements.
As threats grow more sophisticated, Usherwood will continue to invest in leading-edge technology and processes to ensure our clients have the highest level of security possible.

What is SOC 2?
SOC 2 (Systems and Organization Controls) is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates how service providers handle data based on five Trust Services Criteria:
- Security
- Availability
- Processing
- Integrity
- Confidentiality
- Privacy

What’s the difference between SOC 2 Type I and Type II?
Type I
Validates that security controls are well-designed at a single point in time.
Type II
Goes further, evaluating those controls over a period of time (usually 6–12 months) to confirm they are operating effectively on an ongoing basis.
What does SOC 2 Type II accreditation mean for Usherwood clients?

Why is this important now?
Cybersecurity threats are evolving faster than ever. SOC 2 Type II accreditation shows that Usherwood not only has robust controls in place but also maintains them effectively over time, ensuring your sensitive data remains secure.
