This is no longer true. While obvious spelling and grammar errors were once common signs of phishing attempts, modern attackers increasingly use AI and advanced writing tools to create polished, professional-looking emails that are free of mistakes. Many phishing messages now closely mimic legitimate communications, using proper branding, personalized details, and natural language that can be difficult to distinguish from genuine emails. As a result, employees should focus less on grammar and more on warning signs such as unexpected requests, suspicious links, unusual sender addresses, and urgent calls to action.
