Ontario Business Machines was established In Oswego NY by Charles & Carol Usherwood Jack & Donna Hammill

Charles and Carol Usherwood split with Ontario Business Machines and establish Usherwood Business Equipment.

Usherwood Business Equipment is running out of the first floor of Charlie and Carol' s home, while the family lived upstairs, at 55 Erie Street, Oswego NY.

Charles and Carol Usherwood moved the company to 205 West First Street in Oswego, New York and by 1980, the company had 8 employees.

Usherwood was one of the first companies in America to sell and service both copiers, duplicators, typewriters, and mimeographs.

The New York State Troopers select Usherwood as the exclusive Canon service provider for entire State of New York. Usherwood provides on-site service in all counties for the NYSP.

Usherwood opens 7th NYS office in Plattsburgh via acquisition of Burgess Enterprises. Burgess had been a 30 year Canon Dealer covering Clinton, Essex and Franklin Counties.

Usherwood featured in CNY Business Journal and sets bold growth initiative for the future. Featured discussion includes Managed Network Service group and Print Management Services.

Usherwood partners with The College of St. Rose in Albany, NY for the second time and contracts for Facilities Management with a new 6 year contract.

Usherwood opens our 9th office in Burlington, Vermont and then merges with local Xerox dealer to bring Canon, Xerox, and Samsung into the State of Vermont.

Usherwood holds it’s 3rd annual service summit meeting hosting over 60 engineers and technicians for two days of training and a little fun as well.
