Located in the heart of Warwick, RI, Warwick Mall opened in October 1970. It offers more than 1,000,000 square feet of retail space, featuring a food court and more than 80 stores for customers to shop. The mall also houses an Apple Cinemas and numerous restaurants. Warwick Mall strives to be a go-to family retail spot, and to offer its customers easy access and convenience when shopping or seeking entertainment inside its doors.
Looking to Upgrade
In June 2021, Warwick Mall was in need of an upgrade for their copiers in their main office. Usherwood Office Technology was among the local companies in the area Warwick Mall discussed options with. Usherwood was able to propose devices to the mall that met their needs, concluding in an established partnership. Michael LaPre, Senior Sales Architect of Usherwood Office Technology, recalls the initial installation of the print devices on the Warwick Mall premises.
“We sold Canon to the office inside the mall, and they were very happy with it,” he said. “The installation went flawlessly as well. Due to their happiness with that, we stayed in close touch with them throughout the whole process and then even afterwards.”
After this first collaboration when it was time for the Warwick Mall’s parent corporation to take over, there was a need for another new copier. Usherwood issued another Canon device installation for the mall. “They had both of the excellent products we provided, and our service department treated them great,” LaPre said. “So they were very happy with all the service, and that allowed us to get in and talk to them a little more about some of our other lines of business.”
Digital Signage Services
Usherwood was made aware of the mall’s interest in upgrading the digital signage displayed throughout the mall for customers. In the latter part of 2022, Usherwood officially started working on upgrading the digital signage of the Warwick Mall.
Warwick Mall’s digital signage project was one enjoyed by both sides. “We had a great cast of characters helping us out with the entire project,” LaPre said. “We had everybody in our office for the demo. So it was really nice. It was the most fun I had in the office since I started.”
Usherwood assisted the mall with installing screens and the digital signage throughout the mall in order for customers to be able to easily view the signage when shopping. The digital signage also provided opportunities for advertising the shops stationed in the mall and revenue for the client.
