Usherwood Office Technology closed out its 50th anniversary year at its annual company kickoff, celebrating FY2026 growth and achievements while outlining priorities for FY2027.
SYRACUSE, N.Y., November 2, 2026 – Usherwood Office Technology marked the close of fiscal year 2026 and the beginning of fiscal year 2027 at its annual company kickoff on Friday, October 16, at Turning Stone Resort in Verona, N.Y. This year’s event held special significance as the family-owned company celebrated 50 years in business.
The annual gathering brought employees together from across the Northeast to recognize achievements from the past year, celebrate the company’s five-decade history, and look ahead to its priorities for FY2027.
Fiscal year 2026 represented another year of growth for Usherwood. The company saw 30% year-over-year net new customer growth, while its technology services continued to expand. IT Services grew 16% and Cloud Security and Communications grew 144% year over year.
Usherwood also hired 27 new employees and promoted 20 employees across the organization. Now with more than 160 employees serving more than 3,000 clients, Usherwood closed its 50th anniversary year with continued momentum and growth throughout the Northeast.
Growth throughout FY2026 was accompanied by a continued focus on the client experience.
During the year, Usherwood achieved a 92.6% customer satisfaction score, closed more than 68,000 service tickets, and maintained an average call wait time of just eight seconds. Its Technical Service Center and Client Services teams also maintained an 80% first-call resolution rate.
These results reflect Usherwood’s continued commitment to responsive, knowledgeable service and the company’s longstanding “Whatever It Takes” philosophy.
The annual kickoff event provided an opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of employees across all departments while reflecting on the company’s evolution over the past five decades.
"Usherwood has gone from nothing to something, and from something to everything. What started 50 years ago as an idea has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined because of the people who believed in it."
Lou Usherwood, Chief Executive Officer, Usherwood Office Technology
Following its 50th anniversary year, Usherwood is turning its focus toward continued growth and the opportunities ahead.
As Usherwood enters its next 50 years, the company is focused on continuing to evolve alongside the technology needs of its clients. Priorities for FY2027 include expanding investments in artificial intelligence, accelerating growth throughout New England, enhancing client support and service delivery, and continuing to invest in and expand the company’s IT services.
“Technology has changed dramatically throughout Usherwood’s first 50 years, and AI represents another major shift in how organizations work. Our focus is on understanding where AI can help our people work more effectively and help our clients move their businesses forward."
Charlie Usherwood, Chief Technology Officer, Usherwood Office Technology
That focus on innovation and growth will also require employees across the organization to continue building on the momentum created during FY2026.
“We’ve accomplished a lot together, but we can’t become complacent because of past success. The challenge for all of us is to keep pushing, keep finding ways to improve, and keep raising the bar for ourselves and for our clients. If we continue doing that together, there’s no limit to what the next chapter of Usherwood can look like.”
